The speakers on the HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 are a collaboration with the renowned audio brand Bang & Olufsen. Keyboard and Touchpad

The HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 has a truly wonderful keyboard. Although the key travel is only 1.46mm and the actuation force is 59gr, the typing experience on the HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 is very comfortable and precise. The keyboard is equipped with a backlight to help work more effectively in low-light conditions.

The TouchPad, measuring 9.9 x 6.6 cm, has a smooth surface that allows for easy and precise finger movement. The response of the touchpad and both integrated mouse buttons below it is very fast and completely lag-free.

A quick glance at the configuration allows us to affirm that this HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 has powerful multitasking capabilities. A quick test by browsing 10 web tabs with one 1080p YouTube video tab, simultaneously opening the camera and Paint apps while Windows Defender performs a full system scan, we found that the system still operates smoothly without any lag.

The HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 achieved an overall performance score of 7470 on Geekbench 3. The 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD copied 4.97GB of multimedia data in 14 seconds, reaching a speed of 363.5MBps. The OpenOffice test (matching 20,000 names with addresses) was completed by the HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 in 3 minutes 43 seconds, far exceeding the average for thin and light laptops (5 minutes 10 seconds).
