Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 1 - Mobile WorkStation

Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 1 - Mobile WorkStation

Lenovo ThinkPad P1 is an excellent choice for business users who juggle demanding workloads and want the sharpest, best-looking high-resolution display. But what truly sets the ThinkPad P1 apart from its rivals is a thin, light, durable chassis that could easily be mistaken for a premium ultrabook rather than a workstation.

Powerful performance

Lenovo ThinkPad P1 is a workstation that delivers strong performance in a thin, lightweight body. Equipped with a business-grade Intel® Core™ i7 8750H and 16GB of RAM, the ThinkPad P1 meets the baseline requirements of any task, even the heaviest ones. In particular, the NVIDIA® Quadro P1000 4GB GDDR5 graphics card, available on the pricier models, delivers outstanding performance.

Built to withstand any conditions

Lenovo Thinkpad P1 has gone through endurance testing against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks, so it keeps working in harsh conditions such as high humidity, exposure to sand and dust, extreme temperatures, and mechanical shock.

Durable, good-looking design

It keeps the signature black finish of the Thinkpad line, but the shell is wrapped in carbon fiber and magnesium alloy, giving the Lenovo Thinkpad P1 outstanding durability. At just 18.4 mm thin and 1.71Kg, the Lenovo Thinkpad P1 is a great choice for anyone who is constantly on the move yet still wants to get the most out of their work.

Display

The optional 15.6-inch 4K display is not very bright, but its rich, vivid colors make up for that drawback.

Top-level security

Lenovo Thinkpad P1 integrates a fingerprint sensor so you can sign in faster and more securely. You can also upgrade to an IR webcam for Windows Hello facial recognition, but doing so means giving up the sliding ThinkShutter lens cover of the standard HD camera. Even better, along with a power-on password, the Thinkpad P1 protects your data with a hard drive password and a separate supervisor password.

Lenovo ThinkPad P1 - Maximum connectivity

Although it is a thin workstation, the Thinkpad P1 still offers plenty of modern ports, including a headphone jack, a proprietary Mini Gigabit Ethernet port (with an RJ45 adapter included), HDMI 2.0, two Thunderbolt ™ ports, and an AC power connector.

Webcam

The 720p webcam sits above the ThinkPad P1's display. Facial features come through clearly, but skin tones may look exaggerated.

Great sound

The speakers mounted on the underside of the ThinkPad P1 are loud enough to fill a medium-sized room, and the sound quality is quite polished.
