DELL Precision 3530 Mobile Workstation

Recently, Dell introduced a new business-oriented laptop featuring next-generation Coffee Lake processors, offering a choice between Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu: the Dell Precision 3530 15-inch.

The new Dell Precision 3530 laptop comes with a 4-cell 68Whr battery (optional 6-cell 92Whr model), measures 376 x 250.65 x 24.30 mm, and weighs 2.03 kg. Many will appreciate the fact that it is supplied with either Windows 10 Pro 64-bit or Ubuntu Linux 16.04.

Standard configuration features the latest Quad Core i5-8300H processor (2.3 GHz, Intel UHD 630), 4 GB DDR4 RAM, a 500 GB 7200 rpm hard drive, a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P600 4GB GDDR5 graphics card, and a 15.6-inch WXGA HD anti-glare display (1366 × 768).

Connectivity

It features a card reader, Wi-Fi module (Intel Wireless AC 9560, 2 × 2), Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G/LTE (optional, SIM card slot), HDMI 2.0 and VGA video outputs, Gigabit Ethernet and Headphone ports, 1 USB 3.1 (Gen1, PowerShare), 1 USB 3.1 (Gen1), and 1 USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen2, optional Thunderbolt 3).

Keyboard and touchpad

The Dell Precision 3530 also inherits a backlit chiclet keyboard with a numeric keypad, touchpad, and trackpoint, as well as a fingerprint reader (Windows Hello compatible). Options include 8/16/32 GB DDR4, Qualcomm Snapdragon 4G module, WXGA HD display with webcam or Full HD (1920 × 1080) touchscreen or non-touch (anti-glare panel) with webcam or infrared, or an alternative 6-cell battery.

For storage, you can choose 1 or 2 hard drive units (hybrid or otherwise) or an SSD.
