HP ZBook 17 G3 is HP's 17-inch workstation from their latest lineup. This computer offers high performance, long battery life, and enhanced visuals. The HP ZBook 17 G3 is one of the most powerful mobile workstations available today, as it is equipped with premium components and ISV certifications, ensuring the computer works seamlessly with many professional applications. The HP ZBook 17 G3 is designed to completely replace today's desktop computers.

Sturdy Design

The HP ZBook 17 G3 is designed to be very sturdy, featuring an aluminum metal chassis and a Magnesium frame to ensure the laptop does not become too heavy. Notably, the HP ZBook 17 G3 has also passed US durability tests to withstand a variety of harsh environments such as high and low temperatures, humidity, altitude, vibration, shock, and dust.

The HP ZBook 17 G3 measures 420mm x 280mm x 33mm and weighs 3.14kg. It is a powerful workstation, yet it remains slightly lighter than some other products.

Excellent Display and Audio

The HP ZBook 17 G3 features a 17.3-inch IPS display providing excellent viewing angles, along with FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution with touch options or 4K UHD DreamColor (3840 x 2160). You can also choose a 17.3-inch screen with HD+ resolution; however, this version does not use an IPS panel and only features an anti-glare coating. Meanwhile, the DreamColor version supports a wide color gamut of millions of colors and is factory-calibrated.

HP also equips the ZBook 17 G3 with a pair of Bang & Olufsen speakers for high-quality, clear sound. The audio is powerful with rich bass, which is particularly impressive for a mobile workstation.

Advanced Performance

The HP ZBook 17 G3 is offered with many different options, including 7th generation processors and Nvidia Quadro M1000M, M2000M, M3000M, M4000M, or M5000M graphics cards. The entry-level model uses an i5-6300HQ chip, 8GB RAM, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 530. Additionally, you can choose mid-range configurations with 7th generation i7 processors at more reasonable price points.

Keyboard & Touchpad

The HP ZBook 17 G3 17.3 inch features a full-sized keyboard with a numeric keypad, leaving space on both sides. It has a 1.55mm key travel, allowing for typing speeds of up to 76 words per minute. It includes spill-resistant keys and a backlight to help users work effectively in low-light environments.

The touchpad measures 101.6mm x 55.88mm, is relatively sensitive, and is chemically enhanced with 6 separate mouse buttons.

Connectivity Ports

Because the HP ZBook 17 G3 has a large chassis, it is equipped with a very complete set of connectivity ports. On the left side of the laptop, there is 1 Ethernet port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, and a security lock slot. On the right side, there are 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB 3.0 port, VGA and HDMI ports, a Smart Card reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 1 power jack.
