The Dell Latitude 7410 is the successor to the highly successful Dell Latitude 7400 from last year, but it is more than just a successor; the Dell Latitude 7410 has been significantly refined in both design and configuration. Featuring a 2-in-1 design that can open 360 degrees, the hinges of the Dell Latitude 7410 are expertly crafted to withstand high-frequency opening and closing without the worry of breakage.

With a thinner design, weighing 1.4kg and measuring 19.3mm in thickness, the Dell Latitude 7410 is quite slim and highly portable. While it continues to use premium aluminum materials, the build quality of the Dell Latitude 7410 is superior—sturdy, durable, and resistant to dust and fingerprints.

Performance & Configuration

With flexible configurations including Core ™ i5-10210U, Core ™ i5-10310U, and Intel® Core ™ I7-10610U, paired with 8GB-16GB DDR4 RAM, the Dell Latitude 7410 can efficiently handle office tasks as well as entertainment. Additionally, SSD options up to 512GB mean you no longer have to worry about limited storage capacity on a solid-state drive.

However, it is worth noting a drawback: the Dell Latitude 7410 does not integrate a powerful enough dedicated graphics card for a smoother gaming or heavy graphic design experience. Since it does not focus on extreme high-end performance, it is no surprise that the Dell Latitude 7410 maintains relatively cool operating temperatures. Compared to the 7400 generation, Dell has doubled the number of internal heat pipes and combined them with a ventilation system at the bottom and rear of the hinge, helping to maintain stable temperatures even when running heavy tasks.

Display, Keyboard, and Battery Life

The Dell Latitude 7410 offers impressive screen brightness compared to other laptops in its segment. Although not specifically targeted at multimedia professionals, it features impressive color reproduction, achieving 99.4% sRGB and a delta E of only 1.25 (after calibration).

It also offers display options up to 4K with blue light reduction technology, which helps reduce eye strain and fatigue without affecting display quality or color accuracy.

The keyboard on the Dell Latitude 7410 has moderate travel, providing a tactile and responsive typing experience. Dell has removed two physical mouse buttons to provide a larger trackpad area, making two-finger and three-finger gestures smooth and lag-free.

A new feature that makes the Dell Latitude 7410 more dynamic is ExpressCharge technology, which charges the battery to 35% in 20 minutes and 80% in 1 hour. Additionally, the battery life can support 11-12 hours of continuous web browsing. With channel widths up to 160 MHz, 802.11ax can provide Wi-Fi transmission speeds twice as fast as the current 802.11ac standard. Wi-Fi 6 also includes WPA3 (Wi-Fi Protected Access) security to keep your connections safe. When using an 802.11ax modem on a public network, it helps defend against anonymous attacks, encrypts accessing devices, and makes it easier for headless devices to connect. Additionally, the latest Bluetooth 5.1 technology ensures that Dell’s connectivity is extremely flexible and secure.
