As a premium product in the XPS line, much like the latest XPS 13 models, the XPS 15 is also equipped with Infinity Edge technology, providing us with ultra-thin bezels. It is a 15.6-inch product with dimensions comparable to a typical 14-inch laptop. It is truly wonderful; let's explore more of the amazing features and design of this product.

Another highlight of the DELL XPS 15 9560 is the inclusion of USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 protocol. The Thunderbolt 3 protocol via the USB Type-C connector supports data, audio, video, and signal transmission for users. It supports speeds up to 40GB/s, which is 4 times faster than USB 3.0 Gen 2. Powershare is also integrated into this connection standard, allowing users to charge other devices via the USB Type-C port.

Design

The DELL XPS 15 9560 is considered an enlarged version of the 2015 XPS 13; every design element and material is similar to the XPS 13, with only two small differences: the camera of the DELL XPS 15 9560 is placed between the Dell logo and the left edge below the screen, whereas the XPS 13 camera is shifted significantly to the left. This is a reasonable change to better capture the user. The second difference is, of course, the larger screen and overall size, with Touch or Non-Touch options from Dell.

Unlike previous versions, the top and bottom of the DELL XPS 15 9560 are made of two aluminum panels; the top features a prominent Dell logo in the center, while the bottom is finished with great detail. The bottom of the machine comes with two rubber feet to prevent the base of the XPS 15 from being scratched when sliding it across surfaces. There is also a cover labeled "XPS," with the Serial Number and legal symbols underneath. This is a very clever design approach for the XPS line, avoiding the unsightly stickers often used by distributors over time.

The palm rest is made of carbon fiber material, which reduces the weight of the laptop and provides a very comfortable feel for the wrists during use. Many people believe that these black carbon fiber patterns reduce the machine's aesthetics, but in my opinion, it is a point where designers have optimized both material and harmony with the keyboard and touchpad of this product.

Display

The DELL XPS 15 9560 is introduced by Dell with many options for resolution and touch functionality. The resolution can go up to 4K. The product introduced here has a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080).

In particular, the screen is equipped with Infinity Edge technology, featuring an ultra-thin bezel design. A 15.6-inch product with dimensions nearly the same as a standard 14-inch laptop. Keyboard and Touchpad

The DELL XPS 15 9560 features a chiclet keyboard with backlit keys and a key travel of approximately 1.3mm. The touchpad is quite large and very comfortable. The touchpad material is excellent, providing a smooth and non-sticky feel. This is quite an impressive feature.

Connectivity Ports

The left side of the machine is equipped with 1 power jack, 1 USB 3.0 with Powershare (which can charge other devices when the laptop is turned off), 1 USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 protocol (as mentioned above), and a 3.5mm Audio jack.

The right side includes 1 security slot, 1 USB 3.0, and an SD card slot. Notably, the XPS 15 also features an additional button and LED indicator for battery status. You can check the current battery level without having to turn on the machine.
