Finally, the most anticipated iPhone models have been released: the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Their design features subtle changes, including a new Camera Control button that allows for aperture adjustments, larger displays, and the Apple A18 Pro chip. The cameras continue to receive upgrades, and not to be missed is Apple Intelligence, which brings a wealth of AI features.
Design & Display of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature new screen sizes, with the iPhone 16 Pro at 6.3 inches and the iPhone 16 Pro Max at 6.9 inches. This aligns with reports that the bezels on these two models have been made thinner. The iPhone 16 Pro series will also see thermal improvements thanks to a graphite sheet, helping to enhance performance during extended use.
This year, the iPhone 16 Pro lineup introduces a new color called Desert Titanium. This is a matte titanium finish with a gold tone similar to previous iPhone Gold versions. This color is expected to become a major trend when the iPhone officially launches in Vietnam.
The Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will utilize force-sensing technology; however, users can still press down to activate quick video recording. Besides photography, the device allows for adjustments to aperture, EV values, and image filters. This helps Apple stand out compared to brands like Sony, which use physical buttons for camera functions.
The Camera Control on the new iPhone 16 series will integrate several intelligent Apple features related to the camera, such as the ability to quickly search and ask instant questions about what you are observing around you. You can query almost anything thanks to Apple Intelligence technology, along with support from .
iPhone 16 Pro & iPhone 16 Pro Max Specifications
The iPhone 16 Pro duo is equipped with the A18 Pro chip, manufactured using a 3nm process with a 16-core NPU, capable of performing 35 trillion operations per second. Apple Intelligence features on the A18 Pro will be 17% faster than the chipset in the iPhone 15 Pro. The A18 Pro GPU is also more powerful than the previous generation (over 20% increase), while the CPU is faster (15%). Overall, the A18 Pro promises superior performance and lower power consumption compared to the A17 Pro (a 20% improvement). Apple asserts that the A18 Pro is the most powerful smartphone chip currently available.
The A18 Pro will feature a new component called Advanced Media to support functions such as ProMotion, Always-On Display, USB3, and the ProRes format.
Camera of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with a camera system featuring a 48MP Fusion main sensor with a 24mm focal length and f/1.78 aperture. The Ultrawide sensor also reaches 48MP resolution, with a 13mm focal length and f/2.2 aperture. Some photos from the iPhone 16 Pro Series
The iPhone 16 Pro series will feature a camera capable of recording 4K video at 120 frames per second, which Apple calls Cinematic Slow Motion. The device also integrates 4 microphones to enhance video recording quality. Within the camera app, users can customize various audio-related features, including microphone settings and different audio effects.
This feature is called Audio Mix by Apple, which uses machine learning technology to identify and separate background sounds from voices. It also allows you to choose from three different voice options. If someone is talking near the camera while you are recording, this feature will help isolate the subject’s voice from the background noise, ensuring you still get perfect shots.
Studio Mix provides sound similar to a professional studio by effectively eliminating echo. Cinematic Mix adjusts vocals as if in a film, placing the voice at the forefront.
Photographic Styles have been improved by Apple; thanks to artificial intelligence, they can now recognize and understand skin tones. This allows users to customize how they appear in photos.
Unlike standard filters that use a “one size fits all” method by applying colors across the entire frame, these adjustments are applied only to specific colors within the selected styles.
Thanks to Apple Intelligence, image editing capabilities on the iPhone 16 Pro series have been improved. For example, users can ask Siri to take a photo from the Photos app and automatically edit it in the Darkroom app, an application Apple introduced at the event.
