Intel Core Ultra 200 has officially launched, bringing a breath of fresh air to the mainstream Workstation market with the Arrow Lake platform CPU series. This new product line targets both desktops and laptops, focusing on delivering powerful performance and modern technology while maintaining reasonable prices for individual users, small businesses, and creative professionals.
Superior performance in the mainstream Workstation segment
Based on the Arrow Lake architecture, Intel Core Ultra 200 stands out with significant improvements in performance and power efficiency. In the desktop segment, the Core Ultra 200S version delivers 13% higher multi-core performance and 11% better performance-per-watt compared to the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X when operating at the same TDP 125W. This allows mainstream Workstation users to enjoy both superior processing power and reduced operating costs.
New Workstation desktop models support up to 256GB DDR5 ECC RAM, WiFi 6E, and a suite of professional features such as remote KVM, Intel vPro, and Pro Codec, meeting the needs for stable operation, security, and remote management in modern enterprise environments.
For laptops, Intel introduces two lines: Core Ultra 200HX and Core Ultra 200H. The Core Ultra 200HX is focused on high-performance laptop models, offering 8% higher single-core performance and up to 42% higher multi-core performance compared to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375, while consuming up to 41% less power than the previous Meteor Lake generation. One of the first products to utilize this chip series is the HP ZBook Fury 18, which supports 256GB DDR5 ECC RAM and integrates an NPU for local AI processing.

In the thin and light laptop segment, the Core Ultra 200H provides an ideal choice for mobile creators. A prime example is the Dell Pro Max 16, which uses the Core Ultra 200H, delivering 22% higher multi-core performance than the Ryzen AI 9 365 on Geekbench 6.3 and a battery life of up to 21+ hours. The integrated Arc 140T GPU handles both professional tasks and entertainment like light gaming effectively, while also outperforming the Ryzen 9 8945HS by 36% in performance across 9 real-world applications.
The flagship Core Ultra 9 285H version also demonstrates exceptional power, being 26% stronger than the Ryzen AI 9 365 in 6 real-world applications and excelling in graphics performance in specialized software like Autodesk Inventor and Chaos V-Ray for Cinema 4D. For desktop users requiring even higher graphics performance, Intel offers discrete GPU Arc Pro B60 24GB or Arc Pro B50 16GB options; however, these GPUs are only supported on desktop systems.
The Intel Core Ultra 200 series integrates Arc 140T GPU and NPU for AI, supports DDR5 ECC RAM, and includes enterprise management solutions like vPro and remote KVM to enhance security and system stability. The ability to expand RAM up to 256GB and WiFi 6E connectivity ensures it meets all needs, from 3D rendering, AI, and video editing to enterprise tasks and entertainment.
