Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo, continuing to shape the high-end smartphone segment with notable improvements in performance, photography, and storage capacity. With the new iPhone lineup, Apple once again focuses on professional users, from gamers to content creators.
Powerful performance with A19 Pro chip and smooth display
Both the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models are equipped with the A19 Pro chip – Apple’s latest processor, promising superior performance while remaining energy-efficient. This chip is designed to handle heavy tasks like high-graphics gaming and video editing smoothly, while simultaneously extending battery life.
Regarding the display, the iPhone 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR screen, while the Pro Max version steps up to 6.9 inches – ideal for watching movies and gaming. Both support ProMotion 120Hz technology, providing a smoother scrolling and response experience.
Comprehensive camera upgrade, supporting 8K video recording
The triple rear camera setup on both models features 48MP resolution, including wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses. Notably, the Pro Max version supports up to 10x optical zoom, combined with up to 40x digital zoom, helping capture distant shots clearer than ever before.
Apple has also upgraded video features with 8K recording capability, allowing the iPhone to be used in professional projects. The entire launch event was even recorded using the iPhone 17 Pro Max itself.
The front camera has also been improved with 18MP resolution, supporting the Center Stage feature to keep the subject in frame during video calls. Image processing in low-light conditions and color reproduction have also been enhanced.
New design, larger battery, faster charging
Apple has redesigned the chassis using unibody aluminum combined with a vapor chamber, helping to dissipate heat more effectively. The front uses Ceramic Shield 2, enhancing impact and scratch resistance.
Thanks to the rearranged internal components, Apple was able to integrate a larger battery. Combined with 35W fast charging and MagSafe support, the iPhone 17 Pro can play video continuously for up to 29 hours, while the Pro Max reaches 33 hours.
Storage up to 2TB, prices remain unchanged
In terms of capacity, the iPhone 17 Pro comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions, while the Pro Max adds a 2TB option – targeting users who store large amounts of video, apps, and data.
Starting prices are $1,099 for the Pro and $1,199 for the Pro Max – remaining the same as last year’s iPhone 16 lineup. However, Apple has removed the 128GB version, raising the entry-level price for the Pro series.
Pre-orders will begin on September 12 and the products will officially hit shelves on September 19.
