ASUS has introduced its latest AMD-based mini-PC at CES 2025, the ExpertCenter PN54, featuring Team Red’s “Krackan Point” APU for top-tier performance.

Asus mini-PCs are an excellent choice if you are looking for a device that is not only high-performing but also integrates cutting-edge technology and modern features. The company’s latest ExpertCenter PN54 mini-PC is a compact, AMD-focused device equipped with AMD’s latest Krackan Point architecture, ensuring impressive power and efficiency, which is ideal for this product category. Additionally, the mini-PC is equipped with a wealth of connectivity features, which we will detail below.
When examining the specifications, the ExpertCenter PN54 is equipped with the Ryzen AI 7 350 APU, featuring an 8-core, 16-thread configuration based on the latest Zen 5 architecture. The device features integrated Radeon 860M graphics with eight RDNA 3.5 cores, providing significant graphics performance for various tasks. The Krackan Point chip is truly suitable for daily tasks and even capable of handling medium to high-intensity workloads, thanks to architectural improvements in the SoC.
Regarding memory and storage, this mini-PC is equipped with two SODIMM slots, supporting DDR5-5600 modules with a maximum capacity of up to 64 GB. The ExpertCenter PN54 also features 2x M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 SSD slots, providing ample space for users to attach storage drives. Notably, this is one of the few mini-PCs on the market that supports Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC program, as the device features not only a dedicated Copilot button on the front but also XDNA 2 NPU technology, helping on-device AI run smoothly.
Other notable features include WiFi-7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support, along with a USB 4 Type C port capable of providing 100W PD. This mini-PC is also equipped with 2W SonicMaster speakers, which is quite rare for compact devices on the market. Regarding the overall design, the ExpertCenter PN54 has a minimalist look, similar to NUC systems, and lacks lighting or RGB options.
ASUS has not yet announced pricing or release timing for the ExpertCenter PN54; however, this product will be among the first mini-PCs to feature AMD’s Krackan Point APU, so it will be very interesting to see the results.
