Intel’s Lunar Lake processors, such as the Core Ultra 7 268V, have begun to emerge through new leaks as we approach the September launch.

Intel Lunar Lake, Core Ultra 7 268V, has been benchmarked in CPU and GPU tests, showing significant improvements over previous results.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 268V CPU will be the second fastest chip in the Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” product line, which includes a total of nine different SKUs. All these SKUs feature similar CPU core configurations but have slight differences in GPU configuration and integrated memory.

Starting with the specifications, the Intel Core Ultra 7 268V “Lunar Lake” CPU features 8 cores (4P+4E), 8 threads, 12 MB L3 cache, with a base frequency of 3.30 GHz and a boost up to 5.0 GHz, along with 32 GB of on-package LPDDR5X-8533 memory. This chip will be equipped with an Arc 140V iGPU with up to 8 Xe2 cores operating at 2.0 GHz and a configured TDP of 17W PL1 and 30W PL2.

The CPU was re-tested on Geekbench 6, achieving 2915 in single-core testing and 11,448 in multi-core testing. The testing was conducted on the Khadas Mind MakerKit platform, a compact AI workstation and development kit with an active cooling system. The Mind platform currently uses the Intel Meteor Lake CPU, so it is likely that the company will integrate Lunar Lake into upcoming AI platforms. Intel will also release its own Lunar Lake DevKit next month.

As seen from the benchmark standards above, the Intel Core Ultra 7 268V “Lunar Lake” microprocessor recorded a 7.4% improvement in single-core performance and a 14.0% improvement in multi-core performance compared to previous results, representing a significant step forward. The chip still fluctuates between 4.6 and 5.0 GHz, suggesting there is still plenty of room for upgrades for final commercial products.

Regarding graphics performance, this chip achieved 29,316 points, equivalent to the Arc A370M and Arc A310 graphics. The GPU was tested in OpenCL; although this is not the strong suit of Intel’s Arc drivers, we can notice improvements when the Xe2 GPU is tested in the Vulkan API.
