Razer has decided to turn one of its concept products into a real, purchasable product. The Freyja gaming cushion, designed for gaming or office chairs, uses vibration technology to create sensations from six individual panels, allowing users to directly feel what is happening in the game.
At CES in January, Razer introduced Project Esther as a concept device. Initially, it was predicted to join the long list of concept products that the company never turns into real products, but now, 9 months later, the Razer Freyja under its new name is available for purchase at $299.99.

At the RazerCon event, the Razer Freyja cushion was introduced with multi-directional sensory features provided by six Sensa HD haptic motors. Four of these motors are located on the back of the cushion, while the remaining two are on the seat area. Users can also adjust the vibration intensity through Razer Synapse software, from 0% to 100%.
The cushion connects to devices via Bluetooth (for Android) or uses Razer’s HyperSpeed wireless connection for PCs. It responds to audio from games, movies, or music playing, converting this sound into vibrations.
Several current and upcoming games offer more refined tactile feedback and customized effects thanks to the integration of Razer Sensa HD Haptics. These games include STALKER 2, Frostpunk 2, Hogwarts Legacy, World of Warships, Final Fantasy XVI, and many others.
Razer stated that the cushion is equipped with an advanced quick-connect system to protect against unwanted pulls or jerks—such as when you forget you are connected and push your chair too far from the computer. It is also designed to fit various types of chairs.
At RazerCon, Razer announced a new accessory: the Kraken V4 Pro headset, which also features Razer Sensa HD haptic technology. The company suggests using them together with the cushion, helping both your body and head feel physical feedback from games.

The latest product in the Kraken line is equipped with HyperSpeed Wireless technology, connecting via Bluetooth, USB, and 3.5mm jack, along with an OLED display and many high-end audio specifications. This headset is not for budget-conscious gamers, with a price tag of up to $399.99.
Both Freyja and Kraken V4 Pro are now available for purchase, with shipping starting on October 7.
The idea of Freyja is not entirely new. Previously, there was the Arcadeo Gaming chair in 2020 with 10 integrated haptic zones. The Assassin’s Creed Mirage haptic feedback vest is also one of many similar products released in recent years.
