Gaming Chairs are excellent tools for those who spend a lot of time at a desk, sitting for more than ten hours a day with little movement. Unfortunately, at the moment, top-tier chair models often come with quite high price tags.
However, Razer previously announced a more affordable version of the excellent Razer Iskur V2 chair at CES. The company also introduced “the world’s first gaming chair with heating and cooling features.”
Priced at $649, the Razer Iskur V2 Gaming Chair is among the best products in its segment, competing almost perfectly in quality with the Noblechairs Legend and Secretlab Titan Evo.
Most people do not want to spend as much as they would on a high-end graphics card for a chair, even if that chair is very good. Therefore, Razer has launched the Razer Iskur V2 X at $299, which is half the price of the premium version. Many features from its predecessor are also present on the Razer Iskur V2 X, including thick cushioning, a 152-degree adjustable recline, a maximum weight capacity of 299 pounds, and a similar overall design.
Naturally, there are reasons why the Razer Iskur V2 X is $350 cheaper. It uses a fixed lumbar curve instead of an adjustable lumbar support system. The armrests only have two movements—height and rotation—lacking the forward/backward and side-to-side movements of the Razer Iskur V2. This chair is also made of multi-layered fabric instead of EPU leather, uses non-contoured foam, utilizes a butterfly mechanism, and lacks an adjustable memory foam headrest.
It remains unclear how the Razer Iskur V2 X will compete with other gaming chair models in the $300 price range. However, it didn’t take long to find out: this chair is available for pre-order right now.

Razer has introduced the world’s first gaming chair with an integrated heating and cooling system. This chair, currently codenamed Project Arielle, is built based on the highly acclaimed Razer Fujin Pro mesh chair model.
Project Arielle features a built-in bladeless fan system, which Razer claims is very quiet and energy-efficient. The chair provides three fan speed levels, capable of “reducing perceived temperature by 2°C to 5°C in dry environments.”
For those in places where you might freeze in your chair, Project Arielle also features a heating function that allows it to blow warm air up to 30°C / 86°F.
Project Arielle is one of many ideas we see at CES every year. Not all of them are developed into commercial products, but many ideas become popular enough to be released to the market.
