Logitech is set to launch the next generation of its premium MX Master mouse series with several notable improvements, most prominently a haptic feedback feature – a technology never before commonly seen in computer mice. According to leaked information from the tech site WinFuture (Germany), the Logitech MX Master 4 will officially replace the MX Master 3S, which has been highly successful since its launch in 2022.
This is not just a minor cosmetic upgrade, but a significant step forward aimed at enhancing interaction and tactile feedback for users. The new feature, named Haptic Sense – a vibration feedback system integrated into the thumb rest – will help users clearly feel actions such as clicking links, receiving notifications, or triggering specific commands. A standout feature is that users can customize the vibration intensity as well as the trigger actions, creating a more deeply personalized experience than ever before.
Haptic feedback and design improvements on the Logitech MX Master 4
The MX Master 4 continues to retain the signature design DNA of the MX Master line but has been refined to provide a more comfortable and durable user experience. The outer shell is lighter and features an added anti-slip surface texture. The two main buttons on the mouse – out of a total of 8 programmable buttons – are made of transparent plastic, and according to Logitech, they reduce noise by up to 90% compared to the MX Master 3S, which was already very quiet.
Another notable new feature is a new control ring called the “actions ring”, also located in the thumb rest area, which allows for quick programming of custom actions. Internally, the mouse still uses an optical sensor with a resolution ranging from 200 to 8,000 DPI, along with a 500mAh battery that can last up to 70 days on a full charge. The MX Master 4 supports Bluetooth 5.0 as well as the Logitech Bolt wireless receiver.
According to WinFuture, the leaked images and information originated from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Logitech has been quietly preparing for this launch for several months and is expected to officially announce it on September 30th.
Price, versions, and environmental commitments
The MX Master 4 will be available in two color options: light grey and graphite. Logitech will also release versions specifically for Mac users and enterprise customers.
The revealed starting retail price is 130 euro, equivalent to approximately 3,400,000 VND. This is a slightly higher price point than the previous generation, but it is well worth the suite of new features, especially the customizable haptic feedback – something typically only seen on high-end smartphones or game controllers.
Logitech also emphasized its commitment to sustainability in the MX Master 4 design: the mouse uses 27% recycled materials overall. Specifically, the light grey version contains 48% recycled plastic, while the dark grey version contains up to 54%. Additionally, the battery is made from 100% recycled cobalt, contributing to minimizing environmental impact during the production process.
With breakthrough improvements in both hardware and user experience, the Logitech MX Master 4 promises to maintain its position as the leading premium wireless mouse series for office workers, content creators, and professional users.
