Xiaomi has launched a new laptop in the Chinese market called the Mi NoteBook Pro X. This is a premium ultrabook-segment laptop, featuring advantages such as OLED display technology, powerful performance, and a price that is not too expensive.
The Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro X comes with a single screen size option of 15.6 inches. As a premium ultrabook, this laptop features a very luxurious design and build quality. The overall chassis is crafted entirely from unibody aluminum, weighing 1.9kg. The device is also quite thin, with a maximum thickness of only 19mm. Users only have one color option: gray.
At first glance, many people will associate the Mi NoteBook Pro X with Apple‘s MacBook models because the overall design and color are quite similar. If you simply cover the “Xiaomi” logo on the front, not many people would realize this is a Xiaomi product.
One of the most valuable advantages of the Mi NoteBook Pro X comes from its display. This laptop uses OLED technology, which is not yet widely applied in many laptop models. OLED screens have proven their superiority by delivering higher brightness, higher contrast, and much better display quality compared to conventional IPS LCD screens. This display also features a 3.5K resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio, supports 100% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts to ensure a premium user experience, and is protected by Gorilla Glass.
Due to its large screen size, the keyboard of the Mi NoteBook Pro X is also well-invested. The keyboard uses a fairly standard layout with a 1.5mm key travel and includes function keys like Home, End, and Page Up/Down on the right side. On the top left corner is a fingerprint sensor integrated directly into the power button.
The Mi NoteBook Pro X features two speaker strips on either side of the keyboard with a fairly large total output. Reviewers have rated the speaker experience on this laptop as quite good. Additionally, the trackpad is designed with a larger area, providing a better user experience.
In terms of performance, users can choose between two Intel Tiger Lake CPU versions, including the Core i7-11370H with a maximum clock speed of 4.8GHz and the Core i5-11300H with a clock speed of 4.4GHz. Both models come with an NVIDIA RTX 3050Ti discrete graphics card, dual-fan cooling technology, and large copper heat pipes. The Core i5 version comes with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, while the Core i7 version comes with 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD.
Regarding connectivity, the Mi Notebook Pro X has 1 USB-C port, two USB-A ports, one Thunderbolt 4 port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and one 3.5mm audio jack. The device supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, features speakers tuned by Harman, and supports DTS Audio. The laptop’s battery has a capacity of 80Wh and charges via USB-C at 130W using the included charger.
The Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro X 15 will have a starting price of 7,999 yuan, equivalent to 28.5 million VND for the standard Core i5 version. The Core i7 version will be more expensive at 9,999 yuan, equivalent to 35.6 million VND. The device will be available in China starting this July 9th.
