Intel’s Core Ultra 200 CPU lineup has just been introduced with Lunar Lake 200V models for thin and light laptops. While many leaks have provided a fairly clear picture of the 200K desktop variants that Chipzilla is expected to announce soon, high-performance mobile components remain shrouded in mystery. A new post from a reputable leaker indicates they may be similar to the desktop versions but with slightly lower clock speeds.
Reputable leaker Jaykihn has shared information regarding the clock speeds and core counts of six previously unannounced Intel Arrow Lake HX CPUs. These high-end laptop processors typically align with the previously leaked Arrow Lake S product line, with an additional chip in the entry-level segment.
Leading the list is the Core Ultra 9 285HX. Featuring 24 cores (eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores) with a boost clock of 5.5GHz, it is only 200MHz slower than its corresponding desktop version. This CPU, the 285K with a 5.7GHz clock speed, appeared in a UK retailer’s listing alongside four other chips earlier this month.

The second laptop processor, the Ultra 7 275HX, has a similar core count with boost speeds up to 5.4GHz – meanwhile, the Ultra 7 265HX features 20 cores (8+12). With a speed of 5.3GHz, it is only 200MHz slower than the K and KF desktop versions, while the Ultra 5 255HX has the exact same core count at 5.2GHz.
Finally, the two lowest-tier chips each feature 14 cores with a speed of 5.1GHz. The Ultra 5 245HX chip is equivalent to the desktop versions, while the 235HX has no known desktop counterpart. This could potentially be the first Core Ultra 3 200 series processor.
All leaked HX processors integrate Xe2 Battlemage graphics. The 255HX models and above feature 64 EU cores. The flagship 285HX model has a graphics clock speed of 2GHz, while the 235HX model at the bottom of the list is limited to 1.8GHz. The mid-range iGPUs all operate at 1.9GHz.
Currently, there are no signs of “Arrow Lake Halo,” which is rumored to be Intel’s response to the upgraded iGPU in AMD’s Strix Halo chipset. Arrow Lake Halo is rumored to feature 14 cores and 320 EUs.
The release timeline for Arrow Lake HX remains unclear, but it is likely to launch after the Arrow Lake S Core Ultra 200K/KF product line, which Intel is expected to announce on October 10. Panther Lake, also known as Intel Core 300, is expected to launch in the second half of next year.
