Nvidia is drawing attention again with its work on an AI PC processor that pairs an Arm CPU with a Blackwell GPU. The Nvidia N1X AI PC has now appeared in the Geekbench database for the second time, revealing several notable details about its hardware and performance.
GPU Configuration: How It Compares With the RTX 5070
According to the Geekbench listing compiled by Tom's Hardware in its article Nvidia N1X SoC leaks with the same number of CUDA cores as an RTX 5070 - N1X specs align with the GB10 Superchip, the Nvidia N1X has 48 Streaming Multiprocessors and 6,144 CUDA cores, the same count as the RTX 5070. Its OpenCL score of 46,361 puts the N1X ahead of every integrated GPU from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
Even with a comparable number of CUDA cores, the N1X differs from the RTX 5070 in several important ways:
- The RTX 5070 comes with 12GB of GDDR7 and a memory bandwidth of ٲGB/s, while the N1X uses only onboard LPDDR5X.
- The N1X's GPU clock speed reaches just 1,048 GHz, lower than the RTX 5070's 2.3-2.512 GHz.
- Power consumption for the entire N1X chip is 120W, roughly half the RTX 5070's 250W.
Nvidia N1X AI PC: A Closer Look at the CPU and Performance
On the CPU side, Geekbench shows the N1X has 20 cores, split into two clusters of 10. Earlier benchmark results put its single-core score at 3,096 and its multi-core score as high as 18,837, on par with many of the latest laptop CPUs from Intel and AMD.
Experts caution, however, that Geekbench results are for reference only because they are easy to manipulate, especially since this chip is most likely an engineering sample that is not yet fully optimized.
Launch Context and Outlook
According to Tom's Hardware, the N1X's specifications closely resemble those of the DGX Spark AI mini-PC, and it is believed to be an adjusted, more power-efficient version aimed at mainstream users.
For now, Nvidia has not officially announced details on the launch date or exact performance. Experts predict, though, that the Nvidia N1X AI PC could arrive in Q1 2026, alongside the next wave of AI PCs from Microsoft.
The appearance of the N1X shows that AI PCs are becoming a new battleground among the big names in tech, and it promises fierce competition in the years ahead.
